The purpose of the Bioinformatics Core (BIC) is to analyze the results from blasting the crystals with high velocity electrons done at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory (SSRL).
The BIC then generates a post-structure analysis environment to foster subsequent research by scientists worldwide and to refine further the target selection and structure determination process.
