The purpose of the Bioinformatics Core (BIC) is to validate the protein structures, which is done after the Structural Determination Core (SDC) blasts the crystallized proteins with electrons.
JCSG acts in the follow sequence: target selection, expression and purification, crystallization, diffraction and structure determination, and structure refinement and validation.
