JCSG uses the eXtensible Markup Language as a format for sharing vasts amounts of data online, primarily its targets list. It is similar to HTML (the common language to make webpages), but allows the user to define their own category.
JCSG's target list is over a thousand long, which is all inside of a main category called <targetlist>. Within the target list is each individual target, which starts with <target> and ends with </target>. As seen below, each target has an ID number, Lab Name, date created, status, sequence, etc, following the target.dtd format which was created from the Airlie Agreement. Below is a sample of the first target.
